Chess culture above! HSC was founded in 2021 and in a couple of years the club has grown into one of the largest chess communities in Finland. At the heart of its activities are Tuesday game nights at the club's home venue, Street Bar Kallio. It's an easy way to get to know us. Our representative team is the two-time reigning Finnish team chess champion!
Team Blitz 2024Club evenings
Tuesdays from 18.00 Street Bar Kallio, Hämeentie 10, informal gaming. Usually an instant play tournament at 19.00. Game nights are free of charge.
Kids' Chess
Mondays at Uuno Pizza in Jätkäsaari, Atlantinkatu 20 B. Free lessons and games for children aged 6-14.
Masterclasses
Masterclasses are held occasionally at Nitor's premises in the centre of Helsinki at Aleksanterinkatu 46 A. The participation fee is 10€.
School clubs
HSC runs at least seven different school clubs every week in cooperation with the City of Helsinki. All clubs are free of charge for participants.
